1. Editorial Board: The Editorial Board is the supreme advisory and supervisory body that determines the scientific quality, ethical standards, and academic strategies of the journal.
- Members are selected from among academics holding a doctoral degree in disciplines relevant to the scope of the journal, taking into account institutional diversity and distribution of expertise.
- The development of the journal's publication policy and the maintenance of ethical standards are the responsibility of the Editorial Board.
- It has the authority to issue ‘Corrections’ for minor errors in published works and ‘Retractions’ for violations that undermine scientific validity. The COPE guidelines are followed in these processes.
-
The Board meets at least twice a year to evaluate the journal's performance.
2. Editorial Team: This is the operational team responsible for the preliminary review, evaluation and preparation of articles for publication.
- Editor-in-Chief and Editor: They are responsible for the academic content of the journal. The chief editor is also the managing editor. The key responsibilities include managing the journal's overall strategy (in collaboration with publishers and readers as appropriate), reviewing and deciding on the preliminary assessment (ethics and scope) of submitted articles to ensure a sustainable and timely publication flow, acting as the journal's ambassador, implementing content, and appropriately querying submissions. They assign the work to the relevant Field Editors and give final approval for the publication of the issue's content.
- Copy Editor: Prepares the plagiarism report for articles and checks their compliance with writing rules. Submissions that do not comply with the template, writing rules or ethical standards are returned to the author for correction before being accepted into the process.
- Field Editors: Assign independent reviewers for articles within their area of expertise. They make the final decision on the article (Accept, Revise or Reject) based on the reviewer reports; they cannot make a decision that contradicts the reports. However, the chief editor/editors may wish to review the decisions. In case of disagreement, new reviewers may be assigned to the article.
- Language Editor: For Turkish articles, checks the suitability of the English and Turkish abstracts and the extended English abstract. The English Language Editor, for English articles, checks the entire article text and makes suggestions for corrections (if any).
- Publication Editor: Checks the grammar and academic style of accepted articles; prepares the work for typesetting according to the journal's visual template and processes the DOI information.
- Proofreader: Reviews the final layout of the work to correct any typographical or typesetting errors and obtains final approval from the author prior to printing.
